He is survived by: his wife Deborah Gatlin Winstead; his son Carl Dennis Winstead, Jr.; his grandson Dennis Gene Winstead; his stepgrandchildren, Jonathan Peacock, Justin Peacock and Libby Tice; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Hunter Peacock, Kynlee Peacock and Brynlee Tice; and his siblings, Jimmy Winstead and Sarah Ann Sanders.
