She was predeceased by: her parents, Daisy McCauley Lindley and Rev. Jesse B. Lindley; her husband Cecil B. Whitson; and her sisters, Ida Dell Cantrell, Daisy Lemmons and Carol Holcombe.
She is survived by: her children, Denise Lyles (Jack), Powdersville, Burnie Whitson (Jan) of Dandridge, TN, Gregg Whitson (Tina) of Statesville, NC, Dale Whitson of Columbia, SC and Cecilia Sullivan Easley (John); and her sisters, Willie Jean Humphries (Ted) and Jessie Blanton. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren.
The family requests no flowers or memorial contributions be made.
