He was predeceased by : his parents, Ben Comer and Dorothy Ivey Comer; and his siblings, Sarah Cast, Mary Wilson and Kenneth Comer.

He is survived by : his son Travis (Sarai Comer); his grandsons, Boris and Cameron Comer; and his brothers, Hubert Comer (Carol), Bill, Jerry, Kermit Comer, Charles Comer (Pat) and J. W. Comer (Joanna). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
