He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Metcalf and Virginia Metcalf. He is survived by: his wife Martha Metcalf (Grennell); his son Andrew Richard Metcalf (Deborah); his grandchildren, Nathanael, Nehemiah, Martha, Rachel and Caleb; his son Joseph Lawrence Metcalf (Meghan); his grandchildren, Gabriel, Eleanor, Daisy and Leo; his child Micah Paul Metcalf (Emily); and his siblings, William Kenneth Metcalf (Dawn), Paul Moulton Metcalf (Kim) and Cathy Ann Knear (Paul). He is also survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, and nine grandchildren.
