Donna left this world on November 22, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband James Sadler Nelson; and her parents, Howell W. Palmer and Norma Creamer Palmer. She is survived by: her daughter Pam Burnett (Tom Burnett); her siblings, Jimmy Palmer (Kate Salley Palmer) and Jane Dill (Ken Dill); her brother-in-law David Nelson; and her pet Zola. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the First Baptist Church (307 S Manning St, Anderson, SC 29624). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
