She was predeceased by: her husband James E. Burriss, Sr.; her parents, John Edward Tollison, Sr. and Sarah "Fannie" Davis Tollison; and her siblings, Myrtis Pruitt, Lois Norton, John Edward Tollison, Jr., Grady Harold Tollison and Arthur Leroy Tollison.
She is survived by: her son James Ernest "Jim" Burriss, Jr. (Sarah); her granddaughter Brantli Burriss; her great grandchildren, Addysen Jordan, Tollison Burriss, Lennox Burriss and Kaymie Brown; and her sisters, Frances E. Yeargin and Barbara R. Whitmire.
