He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Douglas Getsinger and Clarissa Schoonover Getsinger; his sister Elizabeth Parnell; his parents-in-law, Harold and JoAnn Scurry; and his brother-in-law Ronnie Scurry.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Scurry Getsinger; his son Dylan Getsinger; his siblings, Debbie Mock (Gene), Cindy Henderson (Richard) and Neal Getsinger (Debra); and his siblings-in-law, Linda Scurry and Russell Scurry. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews and twelve great-nieces and nephews.
