It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Ray Hoover (Anderson, South Carolina), who passed away on July 7, 2025, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Hoover and Barbara Williams Hoover; his son Willie Antonio Strong; and his siblings, Carolyn Williams, Joseph Hoover, Woodrow Hoover and Nathaniel Hoover.
He is survived by: his children, Ramonica Johnson, Lorenzo Strong, Michael Strong and James Johnson; and his siblings, Gloria Porter, Nancy Hoover, Sandra Hoover and Michael Williams. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; and a host of relatives.
