She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Gardner Gore, Sr. and Pearl Anderson Gore; her husband James Robert Fowler Sr.; and her siblings, Joseph Gardner Gore Jr. and Judith Aurelia Gore.

She is survived by: her sons, James Robert Fowler Jr. (Julie Gore Fowler) and David Charles Fowler (Mary Alice Palmer); her sisters, Patricia Gore Miley and Kaye Gore Prince; her grandchildren, James Robert Fowler III (Jennifer Fowler), Sidney Ann Fowler, Caroline Carothers Fowler and Julia Elizabeth Fowler; and her great grandchildren, Kelsey and Mackenzie Holmes.
