We announce the death of Jeffery Rhodes (Anderson, South Carolina), who passed away on June 9, 2026, at the age of 60. He was predeceased by: his parents, Easter Rhodes Gaffney and Johnny Maddox; his siblings, Rosemary Grant, Benny Byrd, Lonnie Ray Maddox and James Maddox; and his brother-in-law Bernard Sherard.
He is survived by: his children, Jasmine Rhodes of North Augusta, SC, Jeffery S. Rhodes of Anderson, Kristopher Rhodes of Anderson, Lisa Edwards of Anderson, Akia Martin of Anderson, Darius Martin of Anderson and Deja'Martin of Anderson; his significant other Monica Williams; his siblings, Sharon Rhodes, Brenda Sherard, Catherine "Kitty" Gaffney, Jacqueline Gaffney Simpson (Fletcher), Paula Vance (Michael), Barbara Thomason, Reverend Carolyn Heard and Dr. Eddie Maddox (Candace); and his aunts, Lorraine Rhodes, Gracie Simmons, Ann Harrell and Bonnie Dendy. He is also survived by twenty-nine grandchildren; along with a host of nieces and nephews, extended family members, friends, loved ones and classmates.
