Jerry Alewine Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on January 3, 2026, at the age of 86, Jerry Alewine of Anderson, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Orr Alewine and Alice Evans Alewine; his son Bradley Bruce Alewine; and his siblings, Lawrence "Rufus" Alewine, Mickey Alewine Ruffin and Jeanette Alewine Richbourg.

He is survived by: his wife Ann Bruce Alewine of Anderson; his daughter Kristi Alewine Jones (Curtis); and his grandchildren, Nicholas Alewine (Brittany), Eric Alewine and Kyle Jones. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

The family suggests that donations be made in his memory to, St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

“To the family of Jerry please accept our deepest sympathy. I am Polly's grandson and Melvin Poole's son. Most people, when I was young, called me Sonny. I use to see Jerry when he worked for Coca Cola and I worked for Merita and we'd swap family stories and gossip. I now live in Fort Mill, SC, so we didn't see each other. He was a wonderful individual who was always pleasant to be around. He will truly be missed. Jerome Poole”
