John Kenneth Gilreath Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of John Kenneth Gilreath of Anderson, South Carolina. John Kenneth, born on April 20, 1948, passed away on October 28, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Gilreath and Fannie Ruth Massey Gilreath; his daughter-in-law Brandi Gilreath; and his siblings, Bertie Lou Meredith, Nancy Smith, Wilburn Gilreath, Larry Gilreath, Ronnie Gilreath, Doug Gilreath and Guy Overcash.

He is survived by: his wife Lucia Parker Gilreath; his children, Lori Gilreath Lewis (Brian), John Wesley Gilreath and Corey Austin Gilreath (Ashley); his grandchildren, Brent Lewis (Claire), Cooper Gilreath, Boone Gilreath, Aiden Gilreath and Drew Gilreath; his great grandchildren, Evelyn Lewis and Savannah Lewis; and his siblings, Donnie Gilreath and Annette Martin.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Whitefield Baptist Church (207 Mitchell Rd, Belton, SC 29627). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Cooper Veterans Cemetery (140 Inway Dr, Anderson, SC 29621).
