He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Gail Watkins; his parents, Cyrus D. Watkins and Ollie Berryhill; and his daughter Virginia Lee Watkins. He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Johnson and Shanna Stokes; his grandchildren, Mandy Sanders (Christopher) and John Watkins; and his great grandchildren, Peyton Sanders and Raelyn Sanders.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Palmetto Mortuary (1017 Mauldin Rd, Greenville, SC 29607). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM and at 3:00 PM.
