She was predeceased by: her parents, Eliza Jane Adams Dennis and Ira Dennis, Sr.; her husband Osby Heard; and her siblings, Minister Lelia Mae Hanks, Etrulia Russell, Ira Dennis, Jr., Dr. Douglas E. Dennis, Horace Dennis, Sr., Anzie Dennis and Lawrence Dennis.
She is survived by: her sons, Osby Raleigh Heard and Nelson Eugene Heard; her grandchildren, Chanel Webb, Tanecia Heard, Keldrick Heard, Edwenia Lewis and Shayla Earle Wiley; and her siblings, Morris Dennis (Geneva), Albert Dennis and Dianne Martin. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, church members, and dear friends who were all blessed by her faith.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home, Inc. (1212 S Main St, Anderson, SC 29624). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church (4909 SC-81, Starr, SC 29684). A burial was held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at the Anderson Memorial Gardens (3400 SC-24, Anderson, SC 29626).
