Martha Swaney Merck Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Martha Swaney Merck of Anderson, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 30, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Ray Merck; her parents, B. W. "Bill" Swaney and Lucy Frances Ward Swaney; her daughter Ellen Young; and her grandson Chase Merck.
She is survived by: her sons, Chuck Merck and Rodney Merck; and her grandchildren, Damon, Jason, Misty, Nicola, Justin and Summer. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sullivan-King Mortuary Chapel (3205 N Hwy 81, Anderson, SC 29621). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cooper Veterans Cemetery (140 Inway Dr, Anderson, SC 29621).
