It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Tannehill in Anderson, South Carolina, born in Omaha, Nebraska, who passed away on October 25, 2023, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Joseph Grier and Mary Fortune Grier of Virginia; his siblings, John Boyle and Laura Boyle; his niece Megan Grier; his daughter Paityn Virginia (Gavin); his siblings, John Grier and Laura Muenter; his wife Monica; his children, Kaileigh Marion (Peyton) and James; his brother Andy Grier (Staci); his nephew John Boyle (Judy); his sister-in-law Edelene Grier (John); and his siblings' children, Mike Grier (Katie) and Megan Wallace (Danny). He was also cherished by extended family.
The family requests that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to Sarah Cannon Research Institute at Tennessee Oncology in Nashville, Tennessee and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
