He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus "Brown" Berry and Annie Belle Boseman Berry; his brother Mack L. Berry; and his close friend Gertrude Johnson Berry. He is survived by: his daughters, Malika Edwards of Boston, MA, Kathy Berry-Burns (Deangelo) of Anderson, SC and Sonia Berry of Anderson, SC; his grandchildren, Caleb Berry, Nyles Burns, Deangelo Burns, Jr. and Nizaiah Yeargin; his sister Essie L. Berry; his niece Stephanie Berry; his great-niece Jayden; his great-nephew David, Jr.; and his sisters-in-law, Doris Ella Radden, Doris Ann Harry and Lynette Johnson.
Viewing was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home, Inc. (1212 S Main St, Anderson, SC 29624). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
