He was predeceased by: his brother Joshua Blake McCurry; and his grandparents, Melvin Ray'Buck', Novella McCurry, T. C. and Irene Dickerson.

He is survived by: his parents, Don McCurry of Abbeville, SC and Susan Dickerson Bowen; his father-in-law Milton Bowen of Anderson, SC; and his nephew Haden McCurry of Atlanta, GA..
