Steve Gibbs Obituary

He was predeceased by: his mother Thelma Ollie Bell Gibbs; his stepfather William Smith; and his brothers, George F. Gibbs, Willie E. Gibbs and Raymond D. Gibbs.

He is survived by: his wife Katie Marie Gibbs; his children, Eric Hoke, Stephanie Gibbs, Karie Fersner (Alphonso, Jr.), Chelsea Whitner (Joe) and Stevie Cannon; his grandchildren, Jaylin Gibbs, Jonathan Cannon, Jayceon Davis, Bryce Rice, Alphonso Fersner III, Nakeem Hoke, Kiresa Hoke and Eric Hoke, Jr.; his sisters, Annie Hunter and Mary Snyder (Larry); and his father-in-law Franklin Bennett. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Unity Mortuary of Anderson (401 S Fant St, Anderson, SC 29624). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Abel Baptist Church (150 Abel Rd, Clemson, SC 29631).
