He is survived by: his father Billy Joe Wells; his wife Georgeanne Brossett Wells; his children, Tracie Wells Brown (Tony) and Terry Wells, Jr. (Tamara Giwa); his sister Sonya Drake (Benjamin); and his grandchildren, Zachary Brown (Jaila) and Amelia Wells.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, South Carolina or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
