With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Tom Whelchel of Anderson, South Carolina, who passed away on November 4, 2025 at the age of 70. He was predeceased by: his parents, W. T. Whelchel and Evelyn Howard Whelchel; and his brother Larry Dale. He is survived by: his children, Nissee Brown (Al), Adam Whelchel (Michelle), Blake Whelchel and Clay Whelchel (Dami); his siblings, Donnie Whelchel (Tammy) and Robin Davis (Chris); and his grandchildren, Chris, Forrest, Jake, Ashlyn, Shelby, Seth, Alyssa and Brayden.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory (3219 S Main St, Anderson, SC 29624).
