He was predeceased by: his parents, William Chisholm Austin, Sr. and Margaret McCoy Austin Mann; and his brothers, Richard "Dickie" Austin and Jim Austin. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Shirley Austin; his daughters, Margaret "Anne" Austin, Pamela "Pam" McLeod and Susan Welborn (Don); his grandchildren, Johnnie "Austin" McLeod (Emily), Sarah-Katelyn Welborn and Landon Welborn; his great grandchild Nash McLeod; and his sisters-in-law, Peggy Austin and Paige Austin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
