He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Hampton and Sybil Trotter Gillespie. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Lee Baldwin Gillespie; his children, Benjamin Keith Gillespie (Tammy) and Erica Lee Wells (Jonathan); his grandchildren, Madison Gillespie, Skylar Gillespie, Ashton Gillespie, Savannah Wells, Ava Wells and Joanna Wells; his great grandchildren, Kylin Gillespie and Nova Hamilton; his siblings, Jimmy Gillespie (Anita) and Frances Sullivan (Jim); and his nephews, Aaron Baldwin and Douglas Baldwin.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sullivan-King Mortuary (3205 N Hwy 81, Anderson, SC 29621). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sullivan-King Mortuary Chapel (3205 N Hwy 81, Anderson, SC 29621).
