She was predeceased by: her husband Lawrence A. Smoak; her parents, Lex D. Taylor and Lou Annie Wheeler Taylor; her grandsons, Roger Craig Smoak and Joshua Allman Smoak; her great grandchild Daniel David Smoak, Jr.; her sons-in-law, Larry Howard and Samuel Woodson, III; and her siblings, Dell McCants, John O. Taylor, Phillip Taylor, Livingston Taylor, Leonard Taylor, Wilmont Taylor, Donald Taylor and Charles Taylor.

She is survived by: her children, Roger L. Smoak (Sheran) of Andrews, Gary A. Smoak (Christie) of Linden, NC, Corliss S. Woodson of Chester and Pam S. Mooneyham (Ray) of Sumter. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
