He was predeceased by: his parents, George Donald Pipkins and Mildred Louise Phillips-Gause; and his brothers, William Earl Wilson and James Edwards Hennings, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Frankie Carraway Phillips; his children, Charles Phillips, Tiffany Phillips and Jason Phillips; his stepchildren, April McCants (Thomas), Pam Hanna (Chris), Alyssa Johnson (Wally), Justin Ward and Dustin Ward; his grandchildren, Addison McCants, Krisalyn Hanna, Dalton Hanna, Brooklyn Vanhoose, Gracie Vanhoose and Caroline Johnson; and his sisters, Sherry "Shane" Gainey (Roger), Mary Tanner, Karen Capps and Jo Ann Barnhill (Steve). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McKenzie Funeral Home - Andrews Chapel (610 S Rosemary Ave, Andrews, SC 29510). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Oak Ridge Pentecostal Holiness Church (1226 County Rd S-45-526, Andrews, SC 29510).
