She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Henry Albert Ivey, Sr. and Margaret Eunice Barnhill Ivey; her husband Donald "Donnie" Newton; and her brother James Edward "Eddie" Ivey. She is survived by: her sons, Jason D. Newton (Tara) and Jeffrey D. Newton (Brooke); her grandchildren, Bryce Newton, Jayce Newton, Jules Newton and Kipp Newton; her siblings, Rev. Henry Albert Ivey (Donna), Joel William Ivey (Sandra) and Karen "K. K." Hogan (Mike); and her close friend Glenda Newton.
