In the vast expanse of eternity, Golden shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Golden farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his mother Alice Long Smith. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his son Charles; his granddaughters, Ava Joy Fradette and Rylee Bryn Fradette of Grand Rapids, MI.; and his siblings, Woodrow W. Smith of Ft Pierce, FL and Laura Mae Martin of Hartsville, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home & Crematory (409 S Morgan Ave, Andrews, SC 29510). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
