He was loved and cherished by many people including : his spouse Avis Wheeler Smith; his parents, Lewis Hill Smith Jr. and Annie Mercer Smith; his children, Chris Smith (Kim), Ralph Bauer III (Gina) and Jan Watford (Winkey); his grandchildren, Justin Bauer, Andrea Bauer, Blake Smith, Dr. Joanna Bauer, Tanner Smith, Anna Smith and Wyatt Watford; his siblings, Doug Smith (Dale) and Phyllis Massey (Mike); his parents-in-law, Monty Wheeler (Becky), Sharon Wheeler, Marsha Gatlin and Frankie Wheeler; and also David Smith. He was also cherished by nephews and nieces.
