She was predeceased by: her parents, George Harvey Smith and Stella Odean Huggins Smith; and her sister Susan Smith. She is survived by: her husband Phillip Mixon; her children, Phillip Kendall Mixon (Nalani) of Columbia and Bethany Mixon Moore (Justin) of Andrews; and her grandchildren, Jessica Gabel of Summerville, Kendall Mixon of Charleston, Matthew Gabel-Baird (Trevor) of Summerville, Wallace Mixon of Columbia, Heath Moore of Andrews and Greyson Moore of Andrews. She is also survived by her loving husband, her children, grandchildren, and countless friends.
