She was predeceased by: her husband William "Rocky" Coakley, Jr.; her parents, Lorraine B. Rivers and Fred Rivers; and her siblings, Sarah Washington, Anna Bell Frederick, Sheldon Rivers, Clara Bell Richardson and Janice Rivers.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Rivers, William Dexter Coakley (Nicole), Tonya Roper (Jamie), Latasha Dominique (Nathan), Darrown Brown and Shondreka Brown; her siblings, Loretta R. McNeal, Mae Bell McKenzie, Emily Richardson (Sammie), Albertha Jenkins (Henry), Fred Skipper (Renee), James Jackson and Josephine Smith (Henry); her in-laws, Henrietta Rivers, Barbara Jenkins, Matilda McLean (Danny), Leroy Coleman (Joann), Thomas Coakley (Barbara), Melvin Coakley (Judy), Sharon Jones and Brenda Capers; and her sister-in-law Rose Coakley.
