He is survived by : his wife Margaret White Gathers; his children, Kenya Acklin (Emanuel) and Kenneth Gathers, Jr. (Fadlila); his grandchildren, Marquies Kinloch, Ke'ana Wright, Benjamin Gathers and Myles Gathers; his siblings, Emily Rye, Patricia Ann Gathers-Jaffary (Nasim) and Alexis Gathers; and his siblings-in-law, Rosa Gathers and Francis White (Betty). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
