He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Gladden and Leonie Margaret Herring; and his wife Laura. He is survived by: his sons, Thomas J. "Joey" Gladden, Jr. (Carleigh) of Charleston, SC. and Jerry E. Gladden (Olivia) of Charleston, SC.; his grandchildren, Thomas, Mills, Sutton Gladden, Malia, Hunter and Jerry Gladden Jr.; and also Tommy.
