He was predeceased by: his mother Frances Hardee Cartrette; and his sister Viola Cartrette. He is survived by: his father Thornie B. Cartrette; his wife Deborah Cartrette; his children, Marcia Todd (Robert), Janet Reid (Chad) and Jonathan Cartrette (Crickett); his grandchildren, Cotes Reid, Lyndi Reid, Ret Todd, Morgan Todd, River Cartrette and Daisy Cartrette; and his siblings, Howard "Bud" Cartrette (Louise), Terry B. Cartrette (Saundra), Brittie Johnson, Sara Ward and Dorothy "Nanny" Hucks.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Johnson Funeral Home (290 9th Ave, Aynor, SC 29511).
