He is survived by: his wife Esther McCracken Gandy; his children, Darrell Leon Gandy (Clara) of Conway, Cynthia Alford (Carey) of Conway and JoAnn Barnhill (Norman) of Aynor; his grandchildren, Carluss King (Misty), Kevin Alford, April Gandy, Jordan Alford (Kaci), Darrell Leon "DJ" Gandy Jr. and Talley Barnhill; and his great grandchildren, Dalton Alford, Peyton King and Gavin Alford.
