With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ciaya Whetstone of Bamberg, South Carolina, born in Walterboro, South Carolina, who passed away on February 19, 2022 at the age of 21. She was predeceased by : her grandparents, Mary Woods, Donnie Searson and Burnette Whetstone; and her great-grandparents, Donald Searson, Moselle and Lewis Whetstone.

She is survived by : her parents, Burnette Rhette Whetstone of Bamberg and Miranda Searson Whetstone of Smoaks; her pet Zoe; her stepfather Chris Ferrand of Walterboro; her brother Alex Lewis Whetstone of Bamberg; her grandmother Joanne Whetstone of Smoaks; and her great-grandparent Beverly Searson of Smoaks. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
