She was predeceased by : her parents, Cleveland Kirkland and Rosella Kirkland; and her siblings, Abraham Kirkland, Wilhemena Kirkland, Celie Kirkland Smith, Clary Kirkland, Hildagard Kirkland Bamberg, James Kirkland, Clinton Kirkland and Grace Kirkland Ford.
She is survived by : her husband Kenloyd Grimes; her daughter Rosella Nimmons Grimes of Woodbridge, Virginia; her grandchildren, Sean O'Dell Xavier Nimmons (Kashonna) of Woodbridge, Henry Clay Omar Boyd, II of Charlotte, NC and Leona Alana Nicole Darden of Charlotte, NC; her great grandchildren, Jace Nimmons and Bryce Nimmons of Woodbridge, Virginia; and her sister Helen Kirkland Heyward (Ronald) of Merritt Island. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
