He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Douglas Cooler and Naomi Ruth Hodge Cooler; his daughter Tara Cooler; and his siblings, Alvin Nelson Cooler, Bradley Cooler, Nettie Ruth Carrigg, Essie Lee Williams, Odessa Ann Vaughn, Betty Jean Croft, Warren Cooler, Bueigh Cooler and Allean Lemonnella.
He is survived by: his wife Dianne Bearden Cooler of Bamberg; his stepsons, Jason Bishop (Heather) of Ehrhardt and Josh Bishop of Bamberg; his granddaughter Allie Cooler; his great grandchild Bryar Cox; his stepgrandchildren, Jasmine Bishop, Joslyn Bishop and Jasper Bishop; his siblings, Harmon "Buck" Cooler, Carrie Bell Carroll and Eula Mae "Janie" Garrick; and his nephews, Ricky Carrigg, David Cooler and James Young. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 7:00 AM and at 7:00 PM at the Word of Life Pentecostal Holiness Church (85 North St, Bamberg, SC 29003). Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
