He was predeceased by : his parents, Johnny Thomas Ruppe, Sr. and Nancy Anders Ruppe; and also Vivian Frye. He is survived by : his close friend Sandra Hutto of Bamberg; his brothers, Tony Ruppe (Deborah) of Bethune, Johnny Ruppe (Stacie) of Chambersburg and Chris Ruppe of Asheville; his son Philip Eastman of Cross; and also, Grayson Wayne Murdaugh, Madison Lynn Murdaugh, Derek Wayne Hutto (Ashley) of Bamberg, Easton Allman Greer, Lachlan Cambridge Hutto, Kayce Hutto Terry (Brandon) of Nixville, Thomas Daniel Terry, Taylor Michelle Terry, Ethan Wyatt Terry and Marybrae Elizabeth Terry. He is also survived by children and grandchildren.
