It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Ann Chavis of Bamberg, South Carolina, born in Orangeburg, South Carolina, who passed away on April 8, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Sonny Myers and Mamie Lou Chavis Myers; and her husband Jerry Chavis. She is survived by : her children, Pamela Steel of Barnwell, Betty J. Hendrix of Raeford, N. C., Harvey M. Thomas, Jr. of West Columbia and Barbara June Zelaya of Salisbury, N. C.; and her sister Frances Todd of Bowman. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
