With sadness, we share the passing of Ernestene Brown of Barnwell, South Carolina. Ernestene, born on November 30, 1948, passed away on September 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Baxley and Thelma Weeks Clegg; and her sisters, Barbara Reynolds and Patsy Cassavaw. She is survived by: her husband Philip Earl Brown; her sons, Brian Brown of Barnwell, SC and Byron Brown (Audra) of Barnwell, SC; her grandchildren, Jordan Brown (Kristen) of Barnwell, SC and Kelci McSwain (Will) of York, SC; her great grandchild Jocelyn Raine Brown; her brother Terry Baxley (Gloria); her nieces, Wanda (Casey Price), Angie Bunch and Brenda Caulder; and her nephew Rally Reynolds.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Seven Pines Baptist Church (14957 Dunbarton Blvd, Barnwell, SC 29812). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
