He was predeceased by : his parents, Horace Mack Bowers and Artela Terry Bowers; his spouse Jackie Perry; and his stepgrandchildren, Ronnie Owens and Samantha Bowers.

He is survived by : his children, George Henry Bowers Jr. (Donna) of Pomaria, SC, Michael Perry Bowers (Tammi) of Sycamore, SC, Terry Mack Bowers of Ulmer, SC and Lisa Still (Philip) of Barnwell. He is also survived by five Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
