We announce the death of Mary Lee Plunk (Barnwell, South Carolina), who passed away on September 17, 2026, at the age of 80. Mary Lee will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her mother Sally Mae Rountree; and her daughter Debora Sue Cochran. She is survived by: her siblings, Perry, Cora Lee, Marie and Rachael; her husband James Hugh Plunk; her daughter Beverly Plunk; her grandchildren, Gregory Lee Prather, Haley Lauren Prather, Jacqualine Birchmore, Brad Cochran, Danielle Moncrieft and Katelyn Cochran; and her great grandchildren, Channing Moncrieft, Silas Moncrieft, Elijah Moncrieft and Harlow Sue Taylor.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Seven Pines Baptist Church (14597 Dunbarton Blvd, Barnwell, SC 29812). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery.
