He was predeceased by : his father Floyd Atkinson; and his brother Johnny Atkinson. He is survived by : his wife Janet Atkinson; his children, Wesley Atkinson, Tiffany Atkinson, Casey Jo Jeter Atkinson and Richard Rhett Atkinson; his grandchildren, Avery Atkinson, Dalton Atkinson, Whitney Gibson, Savannah Gibson, Trevor Atkinson, Blake Gibson and Ella Gibson; his great grandchild Jocelyn Montejano; and his siblings, Tommy Atkinson, James Atkinson, Tassy Renew, Amanda Frickling, Debbie Sue Beasley, Betty Joe "Nunny" Grubbs and Mary "Sue Sue" Moxley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
