He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry and Katherine Creech Grimes. He is survived by: his children, Richard "Rick" Grimes and Sharon Grimes Colcolough (Robert); his grandson Austin T. Colcolough of Fair Play; his sisters, Mamie Nell Cross and Betty Ann Padgett; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Renew (Charles), Harold Keel, Julius F. "Bud" Cross and Tricia Keel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Mole Funeral Home Chapel (9399 Patterson St, Barnwell, SC 29812). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
As Bob's Alzheimer's progressed his desire to live as independent as possible led him to choose to move into the Summit Place, a memory care facility in Anderson.
