She was predeceased by: her parents, McLaurin "Mack" Bodiford and Elma Ruth Ayer Bodiford; her husband Russell Lain; her son Barry Lain; her grandson Rusty Peeples; her brothers, Ray Bodiford and McGee Bodiford; and her brother-in-law Bill Barber.

She is survived by: her daughter Abigail Piatt (Keith) of Barnwell, SC; her grandchildren, Brad Lain and Jessica Lain; her great grandchildren, Madyson Keller, Anna Knight (Santinno), Cameron Peeples, Christen Workman and Mason Workman; her great great grandchildren, Lance Keller and Lyle Knight; her siblings, Nellie Rosier, Arie Murphy (Bill), Dianne Barber, Jacky Bodiford, James Bodiford (Faye), Donnie Bodiford and Roy Bodiford; her daughter-in-law Tammy Lain; and her sisters-in-law, Alma Bodiford and Peggy Bodiford. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Folk Funeral Home (170 Elko St, Williston, SC 29853-2612). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery (5801 Friendship Rd, Barnwell, SC 29812).
