She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Joel King, Sr. and Frieda Jane Starnes King; and her husband Brian Vincent Smith, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Brian Vincent Smith, Jr., Megan Fair Hopkins (Christopher) and Jennifer McKinney; her siblings, Bobby Thompson, Joel King, Mike King, Julia Ray, Karen Thompson and Pam Bebee; her grandchildren, Kristen Hopkins, Hanna Hopkins, Zoey Hopkins, Lilly Hopkins, Anastasia Hopkins, Topher Hopkins, Lena McKinney, Patrick McKinney and Chloe McKinney; and her great grandchild Debbie McKinney.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church Cemetery (1315 St Marks Rd, Batesburg-Leesville, SC 29070).
