He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Cockrell and Adele Cockrell. He is survived by: his wife Angela Cockrell; his sons, Alan Cockrell (Barbara) and Brian Cockrell (Tracy); and his sisters, Patricia Cockrell Roseborough (Boykin) and Jean Cockrell Couillard (Richard).
Visitation was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church (2491 Emanuel Church Rd, West Columbia, SC 29170). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at the same location.
