It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sandra Leigh Hawkins of Batesburg, South Carolina, who passed away on October 3, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Lee and Katie Lou Hendrix Koon; and her siblings, Donnie Koon, Robert Koon, Lavada Wessinger, Kathleen Haltiwanger and Virginia Pugh.
She is survived by: her husband L. C. "Buck" Hawkins; her son Lee; her daughter-in-law Julie Hawkins; her brother Dr. David; and her sisters-in-law, Brenda Koon and Jessie Thompson (W. O.). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at the Milton Shealy Funeral Home (115 N Pine St, Batesburg-Leesville, SC 29006).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Praise Church.
