Gantt of Batesburg-Leesville, Jeptha M. Derrick, Jr. (Matilda) of Batesburg-Leesville, SC, Freddie Derrick (Carolyn) of Batesburg-Leesville, SC and Eddie Derrick of Batesburg-Leesville, SC; his sisters-in-law, Annie Gortmon of Washington, DC, Sharon Davis Caldwell of Maryland, Evelyne Caldwell of Little Mountain, SC and Joyce Caldwell of Batesburg-Leesville, SC; his daughter-in-law Julie Etheredge of Aiken, SC; and his goddaughter Barbara. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Barr-Price Funeral Home Batesburg-Leesville Chapel (256 Main St, Leesville, SC 29070). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
