It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Blocker of Beaufort, South Carolina, born in Ridgeland, South Carolina, who passed away on June 5, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her spouse Leyonard Blocker of Beaufort, SC; her parents, Robert Rowell and Ruby Dean Rowell; her daughter Sheryl Blocker; and her siblings, Leo, Curtis, Frankie Rowell, Myrtle Rowell Smith, Mamie Lou Rowell Blocker, Evelyn Rowell Crews and Eva Mae Rowell Calhoun.
She is survived by: her son Keith Blocker (Dawn); and her grandchildren, Adam Keith Blocker and Chase Austen Blocker. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home (611 Robert Smalls Pkwy, Beaufort, SC 29906). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Carl Anderson Memorial Chapel. A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at the Beaufort Memorial Gardens (1 Copeland Dr, Beaufort, SC 29902).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hosptial or Operation Christmas Child.
